About Pre-School

At Great Ouse Pre-school we provide children with a purpose-built, friendly environment with indoor and outdoor facilities that let their imaginations flow. Our expert, caring staff strive to ensure that all children feel happy, valued and safe 

At Great Ouse Pre-school every day is an adventure and an opportunity to develop a lifelong love of learning. Through play, our trained staff help children to achieve their early learning goals and prepare them for starting school. 

The Pre-School is open weekdays and is run term-time only (see term dates).

The following session times are available :

Morning 8.30am - 11.30am

Lunch 11.30am - 12.20pm

Afternoon 12.20pm - 3.20pm

We cater for children aged 3 plus and offer 15 and 30 hours funded sessions per week. Children become eligible for funding the term after their 3rd birthday.

Please note: When a child is ill, absent, goes home early from Pre-School or takes a holiday, no refund will be given.

Any additional sessions over your funded hours will be charged at £5.00 per hour.

Lunches - you can provide your child with a packed lunch or book a school lunch for an additional cost of £2.80, this will increase to £3.00 from September 2026.

You can apply for a Pre-School place at any time by completing our online Admission form or collecting an Admission form from our school office. Your child will then be placed on our waiting list and you will be contacted as the date of your child's eligibility approaches.

Please note that the school administers applications to our Pre-School. Acceptance into our Pre-School does not guarantee a place in the Reception classes in the September.

Wrap around care provided by Junior Adventures Group is available before and after Pre-School.
