Meal options available
All children are encouraged to eat a varied diet as we believe that if children eat healthily, they will be happier and able to concentrate on their learning.
The main meal options available each day has halal and non-halal options. There are also vegetarian options available.
Food allergies and intolerances
If your child has a food allergy or intolerance please contact the School Office to request a Caterlink allergy and intolerance form.
How to order
The cost of a child’s school meal is £2.60. This can be booked through the My Child At School (MCAS) website or IOS app or Google Play Store.
You will need to select your child’s meal in advance. This needs to be done before 8am each day – but can also be done several weeks in advance.
If you are not signed up to MCAS, please contact the School Office to request this.
Universal infant free school meals
Currently, pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal thanks to a different government funding scheme known as Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM). You will still need to book school meals through the MCAS site, but you won’t be charged.
Please note UIFSM are different to free schools meals through Pupil Premium.
For more information about how to register for free school meals please contact the School Office.
Packed lunches
Children are welcome to bring packed lunches into the school if preferred. Please note that we are a nut free school so food containing nuts are not allowed in packed lunches.
If you’re eligible for free lunches (either through UIFSM or Pupil Premium - contact us) but you want your child to have packed lunches you should still register because the school will receive the funding which can support your child in other ways.
